I am a parent of the student, Charles,  at the Imagine School-Great Western Academy (GWA). This email is to advise you that this school has exceeded my expectations as an Elementary School. I am blessed to have my son enrolled in such a school.

We have lived in the Columbus Public School (CPS) district for the last three school years. He would have had to attend a CPS Elementary School had I not been blessed enough to get the information on GWA and enroll him there for kindergarten. He is now an advanced 2nd grader reading at the fifth grade level.

I can say with absolute certainty that my son would not have had the opportunity to excel as he has if he had been required to attend the CPS neighborhood elementary.

I stated the above information based on my own previous school experience in this district from grades K-12. It is also based on my 19 year old sons education or lack there of.

I don't want the email to remain focused on CPS I want to make the founders of the Imagine Schools that their measures of excellence, the specific learning strategies used are extremely effective. GWA has made a profound impact on my son in so many ways. The positive reinforcement used shines through with my son waking up at 6am on his own, getting dressed and looking forward to school each and everyday.

I just want to make you and the founders aware the GWA is a wonderful school. It is engaging, the teaching methods are effective and it is obvious that each student is an individual. The formula in use fosters growth of the students in all aspects of their life and I am so very thankful that my son does attend such a great school.

The core values taught are brought home with my son. Which helps the family as a whole. His 5 year old special needs brother looks up to him and attempts to mimic his big brother's activities and interests. My 5 year old wants to read, do homework and attend GWA. Unfortunately, he is unable to attend GWA.

The impact of GWA has been a remarkably wonderful learning experience that the whole family benefits from.

I also wanted to let you know about the website www.greatschool.com <http://www.greatschool.com/> . This website is used as a sounding board for parents who and may have an impact on the overall view of GWA or Imagine Schools in general. I have found that the site seeks out additional information about schools as I have received numerous emails asking me to give specific information regarding the academic standards of GWA. Right now I don't feel that the reviews of GWA are an accurate portrayal of the norm at the school and that is why I am bringing it to your attention.
